Hi everybody! I have been traveling a lot in August! I moved, I visited friends in Portugal, family in Vermont, went to an amazing wedding in Annapolis, and now I’m on my way through New York before heading out on my next adventure (stay tuned!) from there. It’s been a really fun month, to say the least! It’s amazing what you can find time for when you’re “funemployed” (more on that here)!
I’ve been living out of a suitcase for a large part of the month – swapping out for new items here and there where I can – but I have to say, every single item I’m wearing here has been with me on the full journey. These pieces are just so versatile!
I love the top because it works so nicely with a pair of jeans (as seen here, but any cut will do), but putting it with these shorts makes for the perfect dressy-casual look. Great for brunch, drinks, or just generally looking nice and beating the heat. These shorts too have been go-tos for me for years. I bought them sometime in college and I will not let them go. Super comfy, great to lounge in with a tee, but the high waisted cut also enables them to dress up a little bit, and allows for a cute and put-together look. And last but not least are these wedges. Again, oldies but goodies (don’t worry I linked a similar super cute pair below!). I love wedges because of their added stability over heels and the extra comfort equates to additional miles walked, which is always an unknown for me when I travel. The simple style of these means I can pair them with almost anything (examples here and here), which is a big win in my book :)
What are your summertime go-tos? Any travel favorites to share? As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
