This weekend I went home to Maine to celebrate my future sister in law’s bridal shower! It was a lovely event, made all the better by the family who visited, and a fun weekend away from the city. The warm weather is slowly making its way up towards Maine, but there hasn’t been a huge chance for any pretty spring foliage to show up yet. It’s just a bit behind being so far north, you see.
Bridal showers are so fun but they are always a bit hectic. I wanted to dress in something that was polished and put together, but also easy to move around in so that I could help out. To that end, I employed one of my favorite tactics for wearing crop tops. I wanted to make sure that as I was carrying things around and hanging decorations there wasn’t any skin visible between my top and skirt, so I wore a plain black tank top underneath the lace crop top, and tucked the tank top into my skirt. That way when I was standing or sitting normally nobody could tell that I had the extra layer, but if I reached for something or bent down there wasn’t any skin flashing.
Do you have any tips for wearing crop tops on a regular basis? Or thoughts on what to wear to wedding-related parties? If so, leave them in the comments below! We are getting into that season…!
