Back at it. Sorry it’s been a slow week over here. I was fully taking advantage of the long weekend and doing copious amounts of food touring San Francisco. Oops. But, we’re back at it, fully rolling on this short week. Tomorrow’s already Friday – isn’t it beautiful?
San Francisco summer has continued to be mostly grey and mostly 65 degrees. It makes fun and festive summer outfits a bit of a challenge, but it did provide an opportunity for me to get creative with my denim jacket. I’ve worn it a lot this spring and summer (see here and here), and I’ve had more than a few conversations with friends about what to wear a denim jacket with that is not a sundress (and really, you can throw rompers in that category, too). Well, friends, I finally have an answer. Black jeans. Or white ones. Or any fun color in your closet. Just not more blue denim, ay? Denim jackets can also layer really well with other sweaters and jackets. Extra warmth and style, all for one. I really like layering a longer sweater under a denim jacket, since it is my firm belief that layers make an outfit look more chic and put-together, a vibe I’m always searching for.
How are you wearing denim jackets this summer? Hope you all had an amazing Fourth of July filled with friends, family, and some yummy summer foods! Thanks as always for stopping by!
