Hi everybody! Happy Monday!
I hope you all had wonderful Christmas and Chanukah celebrations this weekend, or at the very least are taking advantage of the extra days off from work and school! :) I had a wonderful day with my favorite people, and was able to relax and spend quality time with family. I also got some wonderful gifts, including this gorgeous clutch in which my parents proved that they do indeed read my blog (…hi mom and dad…) since I linked to this clutch in a recent post and mentioned that I loved it. Good job, parents!
Now that Christmas has come and gone, I’m starting to think about New Year’s Eve! This year I’ll be traveling with some friends in Japan and Korea and I am super excited for the trip! I’ve never been to Asia before, and I am SO excited! If you have recommendations for me, please let me know! Since I’m not exactly sure what to expect, I’ll be dressing for warmth this year (not unlike most other years for me…). This coat is my go-to and has been for years, and is definitely what I was longing for when I wrote this post from New York last week. If you live in a cold place and don’t have a long down jacket for fear of being confused with the Michelin Man, this is the solution for you (thank you kindly, North Face). Mine is actually quite old at this point, but in great shape, and the smooth top layer keeps the look sleek and polished, rather than frumpy albeit obviously warm.
The other go-to I highly suggest keeping in your closet is a sequin top. I know, I know, how much do you really need and/or wear this? But I actually pull this bad boy out year round (examples here and here), and find that it’s a great option for dressing up any type of outfit. A good go-to to have in the closet. And, it’s particularly good when you’re looking for a New Year’s Eve outfit. I linked a super affordable option similar to my old one below.
Good luck pulling together your festive outfits! Let me know what you are planning to wear in the comments below! Thank you so much for stopping by!
