Hi everybody! Happy Monday! I recently moved back to Boston and started up my consulting job again. Given that we’re hitting the time where a lot of people are starting new jobs and those in school are interviewing, I thought it would be fitting to share a few work appropriate looks over the next few weeks.
This look I like because it’s both formal enough for even very conservative offices (you could also add a blazer over the top if needed), but it isn’t too stuffy for a business casual setting with a much looser dress code. It’s also a pretty easy look to pull together. The statement skirt does all the talking, and allows for a simple mono-color scheme for the rest of the outfit.
I also want to give a quick shout out to this bag. I spent forever picking out my new work bag, and I’m so happy I landed on this one. Big enough for a laptop and then some, plenty of pockets for organizing (my snacks), and a really durable leather finish. One downside; it’s prone to spillage since the top doesn’t zipper closed. That said, I am loving it, and would recommend it for someone looking for their next work tote. And for a quick sale tip – rarely does this bag go on sale, but occasionally sites will run a site-wide sale and it qualifies, so if you love it and aren’t in a rush I would wait for the next one of those!
I hope you all have a great week! Thanks so much for stopping by!

This look is perfect. I love the color and shape of the skirt and of course the pockets. I like how you paired this look with black accents, and I love the shoes.

You look ridiculously polished in this outfit (not that you don’t always look polished, but this is extra polished)! I love these strappy heels and the pastel blue skirt is a stunner.

It’s a very beautiful outfit for the office, I loved the skirt with the discreet slit and the color! I also loved the bag, even though you said there are problem with the zipper. But I loved it anyway, and the outfit, with the beautiful shoes, look great and you look chic and gorgeous!

I love this outfit – the pastel skirt really makes a statement without being too in-your-face! I really love the way it’s toned down with black everything.
The move back to Boston must be fun! Glad to hear you’re adjusting quite nicely :]
