I spent the weekend in beautiful Santa Barbara with some lovely friends, and we had such a fun time hiking, playing tennis, exploring the “funk zone” (essentially a mecca for fish tacos and craft breweries), and soaking up the southern California sun. It was great.
We embarked on our 5 hour drive back to Palo Alto in early afternoon, and after a few hours my friend driving glances over his shoulder and goes, “Niner?” When I had no clue what he was talking about the rest of the car decides we absolutely MUST stop, and so impromptu wine tasting it was. Niner Winery is beautiful and the wine was delish. Highly recommend if you are passing through Paso Robles. Anyway, the wonderful Kate Comee was with me, so we took advantage of the beautiful background for an impromptu blog shoot. Thank you, Kate :) I love having spontaneous friends.
This top is a recent purchase of mine and I am all about it. It’s cotton but looks like linen, so offers the best of both worlds; soft on the skin and not super light or flowy, but looks a little bit fancier than a normal cotton tee. I also love the tie in the back, and the cutout hits low enough that there’s no fear of a bra clasp showing. I can’t wait to pair this with a high waisted skirt or shorts when it warms up a few more degrees. Well done, Madewell, well done. These jeans are old favorites of mine, and the stretchy fabric makes them kind on the tummy and perfect for wearing in the car or in class – really whenever a lot of sitting is involved. Last but not least are the wedges. Also a spring splurge of mine, but I’m super into them. Wedges are so easy to walk and stand in, and they get all the credit of wearing a heel. Such a lovely option in spring and summer and they have such a fun carefree vibe. Perfect for a weekend away.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you had a wonderful weekend and cheers to many more impromptu wine tasting stops. Happy Monday!
