Hi everybody! Happy Monday!
Yesterday I was sitting in my kitchen in Palo Alto, bundled up because they’ve switched my building’s HVAC system from heat to AC, talking on the phone with my brother who lives in Maine, and I learned that it was 15 degrees warmer there than it was here. It felt wrong. And chilly.
It was one of those days where it felt just as cold inside as outside, and I needed something cozy. For me, anytime the back of my neck is covered I feel instantly warmer, so I decided a turtleneck was in order. I also love my leather jacket on days like these, since it is super warm and cozy, without being too bulky. I really think a leather jacket is staple for year-round, and I linked two beautiful options below.
If you come here often, you might have noticed that these pants have been a staple in my closet since I first discovered them almost a year ago. They have a surprising amount of stretch in them, making them comfy for a day split between visiting friends and trying desperately to make it through my pile of homework. Lastly, these shoes. They were my splurge before vacation and I’m so happy with them. I think the metallic coloring makes any outfit look a little more fancy, and they go with everything. I’m not going to lie, I usually swap them out for slippers the second I walk through my door (my parents spoiled me last year at Christmas by gifting me the best slippers known to man), but when it warms up during the day these are a great socially acceptable option for wearing out.
What are you wearing in this in-between weather? Do you do leather jackets in spring? Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great week!
