I have a little confession to make. I don’t actually even like Valentine’s Day that much. It creates so much pressure! When you’re single, it feels like a spotlight is glaring down on you announcing that fact and broadcasting it to the world, and when you’re in a relationship there’s so much hype around some grand romantic declaration. It’s a lot.
The one thing this holiday (it’s not even a real holiday, I know, I know, thank you Hallmark) does have going for it is the great excuse to dress up and go out. Be it on a date or with a group, it does deliver some momentum to get up off the couch and go enjoy yourself. And, in the spirit of capitalizing on the boost of social energy, I thought I’d deliver a little bit of festive outfit inspiration to help you along. This dress is a steal, let me tell you, and I’m happy to share in it. I got it on sale for less than $35, and it’s super comfy. In hindsight I should have taken off the jacket and zoomed in on the pretty neck detail, but you live and learn. Take my word for it – it’s pretty – and the fit is really flattering (and is definitely a dancing dress – no tight pulling anywhere to be found).
So tell me, how do you take advantage of this opportunity to dress up? What are you wearing this year? Thanks so much for stopping by, and happy (early) Valentine’s Day!
