I wore this outfit last weekend for a short trip up to wine country. Napa is absolutely gorgeous this time of year. It’s right before harvest and the grapes are full and ripe. And, as I’m still adjusting from my east coast perspective that the good weather will fade (which I’m told that here in the Bay Area it won’t…) I couldn’t help but notice the weather was beautiful. I’m definitely still adjusting to the super-cool-in-the-shade-and-super-warm-in-the-sun weather swings, but so far, layers have been my friends.
Last week I wrote about my love affair with blanket scarves (here), and the poncho is like their beautiful first cousin. This is really my first foray into poncho world, and I have to say I’m into it. It’s a super easy layer to throw on top, and I love the texture and movement they bring to an outfit. Plus, they’re super snuggly. Effortless and comfortable for the win.
I have also been wearing these ripped jeans on repeat. Pretty much everyday. They’re nice and stretchy with a loose and comfy waistband, and are the perfect length both cuffed and uncuffed. I’m a big big fan, and if you’re in the market for a pair, I highly recommend checking them out.
What are your go-to outfits for visiting a winery? Thanks so much for stopping by!

I love this look for a vineyard. Those shoes are my favorite part. That color is great and I love the tie detail. I’m actually wearing a poncho right now because it is so cold in my office.

Hello from San Francisco! The weather here really is so weird. I feel like it’s been a mix of freezing and HOT – which I think this outfit is absolutely perfect for! I love the cardigan & scalloped bag. Very wine country preppy! Only thing that would make this outfit better is a glass of a sexy red wine! ;) Cheers! xx Shannon
