Hi everybody! Happy Monday! This weekend was a little cooler than I wanted it to be, but we got a few moments of sunshine to enjoy, and it was a great excuse to break back out the long sleeve options in my wardrobe :)
Today I want to talk about SheIn. This post is actually in collaboration with them. For those of you who are unfamiliar, SheIn is a fast fashion online shopping site similar to Romwe, Zaful, or Chicwish, just to name a few. I’ve actually bought from them before with some success (see posts here and here), so I was really excited to branch out and try another of their pieces.
While searching through the pages (and pages and pages) of product on the SheIn site, this top caught my eye and held my attention. I love it! The off the shoulder trend is still alive and well (and I am totally into it), and I love the sleeve details on this top. They are extra wide and sit really nicely, and have a beautiful lace detail at the wrist opening. The shirt is also soft and super comfortable and can easily be dressed up or down for spring and summer. Anddd the $13 price tag doesn’t hurt :). I always like to buy items that will transition nicely from day to night and season to season, and this one can definitely do the job. It has quickly jumped to the top of my off the shoulder line up, and I can’t wait to re-style it with a pair of shorts and sandals when the weather heats up again.
Even though I’ve had some great success with their products, and would definitely recommend you check out their site, there are a few things you should know about SheIn before you buy:
- Their sizing is bonkers. No, really. You must look at the size chart and read reviews before you buy. I routinely need to buy one or 2 full sizes up (aka small -> large) in order to get the right fit. Don’t skip this step!
- Shipping is slow. I prefer to buy things that I won’t need for a certain date (aka not for a specific event) from places like SheIn because it can take quite some time for items to arrive. Speedy service, this is not, but as long as I set my expectations accordingly, it doesn’t really bother me.
- Returns are tricky. In addition to the two successful purchases I mentioned above, as well as this off-the-shoulder top I’m a huge fan of, I did buy one sweater that was a no-go. By the time I tried it on and went to return it, I realized I was already past the deadline. Womp womp. Since then I’ve gone into purchases like these with the mindset that I’ve probably spent the money for good.
Have you shopped with SheIn before? What was your experience? And are you feeling the off the shoulder trend? Thanks so much for stopping by!
