Hi everybody! Happy Monday!
I have officially landed in California, my new home for the next few years (see here for a bit of the back story)! I did a day or two of moving into my new apartment (back into a dorm – GASP!) and now I’m up in Napa for a few days whiling away my last few days of summer with tastings and winery tours. So far California is pretty good :)
The weather here is a new and different challenge. It’s super warm in the sun, cool in the shade, and downright chilly at night. You can bet I’ll be doing a bunch more posts on how to dress for all of these temperatures in a given day. Stay tuned. In the meantime, I wanted to share my number one love for fluctuating temperatures. Say hello to my friend, the blanket scarf. I love blanket scarves because they perfectly serve two functions at once – they’re both really warm and super cute. Need I say more? For square cut scarves, I fold it in half to create a triangle and throw the two tails over each shoulder and pull them around to the front. For a rectangle cut scarf, I simply bunch it up and make one loop around my neck so both tails hang in front. And when it gets chilly, I just pull it off and wrap it around my shoulder. Like a really chic cocoon…..
Anyway, I love them. The one I’m wearing here sold out rapid fire during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, but I’ve linked a few examples below. I’d love to hear if you have the same success with them. Happy hunting!
As always, many thanks for stopping by!
