Hi everybody! Boo! I know today is Halloween and you were all looking for a costume. Well, here you go – me looking formal! Just kidding. This weekend I was in a wedding, and this week I have midterms, so in all honesty, I kind of skipped Halloween this year. And, if I’m being completely honest, it was kind of a relief (gasp!). I love Halloween, don’t get me wrong, but I love it when it’s done right. For me at least, that usually means putting in some kind of concerted effort, and I’m just not there this fall. It’s amazing what havoc going back to school has wreaked in my life. Largely positive havoc, but havoc nonetheless.
Anyway, school and havoc aside, this weekend’s ceremony was beautiful. One of my best friends from undergrad got married to her college sweetheart, and it was stunning. They chose a converted warehouse space just off the water in San Francisco, and boy did it clean up nicely. The wedding was a formal occasion, and the bridesmaids all wore floor length gowns from beige to forest green. I want to highlight this dress quickly. It’s from Monique Lhuillier’s bridesmaid collection, and I was super happy with it. She has a gorgeous line of dresses from high end couture to affordable bridesmaid options, and they’re all cut to flattering lines. The dress comes long – I got mine hemmed – which is a nice starting place for tall ladies. If you’re on the hunt for a bridesmaid option, I highly recommend starting with her, if even just for inspiration.
Do you have a favorite bridesmaid dress option? A go-to designer? Or one you wore you were super happy with? I hope you have an awesome Halloween and thanks so much for stopping by!
