Summer in San Francisco is pretty chilly. There’s almost always a cool breeze, and at night it does this cold misty thing which is, frankly, quite unpleasant. The concept of warm summer nights or baking in the heat just isn’t really a thing here. Instead, for my first full week of summer residence in the city, I’ve found myself pretty consistently under-dressed. So this weekend, I broke out my leather jacket (it packs a punch in the warmth department), and I’ve been much happier and more temperature regulated since.
I figured that since this was on my mind, I would share an SF-themed chilly summer outfit. The beauty is that it transitions super well into fall, so no need to re-think this look for the next few months. The jacket and boots are staples, and I highly recommend finding similar go-to options that are comfy and fit well that can sit within easy reach in your closet (I’ve linked a few budget-friendly options below). The top is new to my wardrobe, and an instant favorite. I love the detail at the neck, which gives it a little glam without compromising function (it’s cut perfectly to hide my bra, and has a nice flowy and forgiving cut). It’s perfect for day or night, and doesn’t require any accessories (making it an easy throw-on and out-the-door) option.
What do you wear during the summer when it gets cool out? Any tips to help a struggling east-coaster? As always, thanks so much for stopping by!
