Hi everybody! This week I’m on vacation, and I’m so so happy about it! :)
I live in Boston but am traveling through Amsterdam and Brussels for the week – which means a huge travel day, a red-eye flight, and a lot of fluctuating temperatures. Dressing for that in itself is a tall order, and I also want a comfy pair of pants for my long flight, easy shoes for walking (or running to catch my connection as it were) and of course, to feel as cute and polished as possible given the circumstances.
And so, I present to you my go-to travel outfit. I get so so cold on planes, so a light sweater is an ideal top (and oh how I love this light and flattering one), and having a warm leather jacket for layering is a must. I also think a good leather jacket can elevate any outfit and make it look a bit fancier and more intentional. Thank god for pieces like that. I scored mine on major sale from J. Crew, but I linked some additional options that I love the look of below.
I also have to comment on the Converse shoes – they’re the “dainty” version – which means that the sole is a little bit thinner and the shoe material is cut a bit lower on the ankle. I love them. They’re lighter and more nimble, and just as comfy.
And, lastly, to top it all off I want a cute tote to lug all of my many things I feel the need to bring along. A cute structured option with tons of space is a must.
What are your travel outfit strategies? Hope you’re all having a great start to the week and are getting excited about some of your summer travel plans!
